What is Sin ?

Meaning of sin, disobeying God's word !!!

So it all starts when we forget God's word,  we will end doing what we shouldn't do and what we should do. If we personally ask what is sin we immediately start to think so many.

How does Apostle Paul says 

²⁶ For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:

²⁷ And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

²⁸ And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;

²⁹ Being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers,

³⁰ Backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents,

³¹ Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful:

³² Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them. Romans 1:26-32.

Then how did sin start in this world? a big question in so many people mind, Bible says in

¹² How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations!

¹³ For thou hast said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:

¹⁴ I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High. Isaiah 14:12-14

Lucifer was an chief angel next to God, but he had desire to be above God, mentioned on the above verse. That was 1^st sin and he was thrown down from God’ glory, from heaven. And hell was 1^st created for him and he never humbled himself in front of the Most high God. From that moment till now satan tries to pull people towards him by the pleasures of the world. He 1^st targeted Eve telling lie and deceived her by giving the fruit which Lord said not to eat. In this way he deceives people using different pleasures of the world as a fruit to commit sin and makes you to disobey God.

‘Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen’ Romans 1:25.

 ‘But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die. Genesis 2:17

God gave a clear commandment to Adam and Eve that they should not eat the fruit of the tree. "TREE OF KNOWLEDGE:"

But Satan came in the form of serpent and spoke a lie to Eve that she can eat the fruit, so that she can be like God,. No man in this world cant be like God, but we can be as His children.  

Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden?

² And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden:

³ But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die.

⁴ And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die:

⁵ For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

⁶ And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. Genesis 3:1-6.

Now once they both ate the fruit, they both committed sin, in other words they disobeyed God's word. they forgot what God commanded them.

Lord Jesus is the only way, if we read the bible and follow it, we are walking in truth, but once we forget the word of Lord Jesus at that very moment we commit sin.

Sin is nothing but forgetting the word of Lord Jesus which He gave to us.

Now if your walking behind the lust and pleasures of the world, there is a opportunity for you to repent and remember what Lord Jesus has done for you. He died for you in the cross and gave Himself as sacrifice for your sins and to deliver from darkness.

But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 1 John 1:7

Lord Jesus said very clearly follow Me....

And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men. Matthew 4:19.

Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. John 14:6

I believe Lord Jesus has spoken with you, don’t forget the words of Lord Jesus and fall into sin. If you doesn't know who is Jesus and His words get a Bible and read, you will know the way. 

And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32. 

WHEN DO WE COMMIT SIN ?

Sin comes by forgetting what Lord Jesus has commanded, in other words disobedience leads to sin. 

HOW CAN WE OVERCOME SIN ?

By reading Bible and following the words which Lord Jesus taught us.
