Keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God, and be
more ready to hear, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not
that they do evil. Ecclesiastes
5:1-7
King Solomon, a wise
man with all riches has finally said everything underneath the sun is vanity. And
he makes sure that how to overcome from this vanity by the help of Most high
God, Jesus.
The part of the verse
clearly says keep thy foot when thou goest to the house of God. It tells how should we prepare when we are going to do in the house of God. Preparing
yourself to worship the most high God, not acting in front of God on Sunday. But preparing ourselves the entire week to
meet our God in His house. In the ways of Holiness.
The middle part of
verse says, and be more ready to hear….. yes Lord Jesus expects us to hear what
He says. When we enter His house we should have the desire, what Lord Jesus
will speak with me. He that hath ears to
hear, let him hear. Matthew 11:15.
Blessed is the man that heareth me,
watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. Proverbs
8:34
But he said, Yea rather, blessed are they
that hear the word of God, and keep it. Luke 11:28
Going to house of God
(church) doesn’t make greater, but hearing and doing according to it….
The last part of the
verse says, than to give the sacrifice of fools: for they consider not that
they do evil. Some people have the habit that if I give to God my tithe
and offering is real sacrifice, but Lord Jesus never expects those things, but he
notices whether you give it with your whole heart. Sacrifice should not be
given like a fool who doesn’t know the purpose why he gives or for sake as a tradition, but
sacrifice is you yourself offering for Jesus Christ living for Him. Sacrifice
with whole heart but not like fool.
Abel’s sacrifice was
wise and with whole heart he gave to Jesus.
Cain’s sacrifice was
like fool and not with whole heart.
Which is your
sacrifice when you go to Church ?
Abraham obeyed God’s
word and did all according to Him, he prepares every time to meet his God and
he kept his feet away from evil. Keeping holiness to hear the holy God’s voice
and following his ways and he was ready sacrifice his only son whom he loved
more, to his God. But God saw Abraham's love and faith towards Him.
Whosoever obeys Lord Jesus, can find Lord Jesus dwelling in him. In the same place where Abraham was ready to
offer his only son, in that very same place King Solomon built temple for the
Most High God and if you keep your feet with holiness following Jesus Christ and
obeying His word and sacrificing yourself for Him surely the Most High God
Jesus will dwell in you.
You’re the temple of God. What? know ye not
that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have
of God, and ye are not your own? 1 Corinthians 6:19.
Prepare to church with holiness in your heart
Have eagerness to meet your Lord Jesus, who will speak with you
Ready to do the will of God.
Jesus is dwelling in
you.
Amen.
